The St. Louis Battlehawks scored 15 points in the final 1:25 to pull off a stunning 18–15 victory over the host San Antonio Brahmas on Sunday, Feb. 19.
St. Louis (1–0) went into the fourth quarter trailing 6–3 before Jack Coan threw a 4-yard touchdown pass to Fred Brown and John Parker Romo kicked a 48-yard field goal for a 15–3 lead.
A.J. McCarron then capped an eight-play, 71-yard drive with an 18-yard TD strike to Hakeem Butler before finding Austin Proehl from 14 yards out on the following drive for the decisive points.
McCarron finished with 190 yards and two TDs on 18–for–26 passing, while Coan completed 25 of 36 passes for 207 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Kalen Ballage led all rushers with 24 carries for 84 yards for San Antonio (0–1)….
