LAKE BALBOA, Calif.—Authorities Feb. 9 identified a motorist who died when her car collided with a Corvette that police say was driven at high speed by a man who went through a red light at an intersection in Lake Balboa.
The crash was reported about 3:45 a.m. Wednesday at Balboa and Victory boulevards, according to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).
Katty Figueroa, 45, died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office and the LAPD.
The other motorist, a man, died at a hospital, according to the coroner’s office and the police department. Information on his identity was not available for release by authorities as of late Thursday morning….
