In a recent podcast with Mike Rowe, the host of the popular show “Dirty Jobs,” which highlights the value of blue-collar work, Nicholas Eberstadt of the American Enterprise Institute said, “Since the [COVID] pandemic broke, the number of unfilled jobs has gone up by about 4 million. And since the pandemic broke, the number of people in the labor force has dropped about 4 million.”
So, who are the 4 million who have dropped out of the workforce? According to Eberstadt, it’s able-bodied men between the ages of 25 and 50, men who have decided to “sit it out” during the most productive time of their lives….
