YORBA LINDA, Calif.—“It’s so good to see you guys today,” said an elderly woman to a group of volunteers who loaded groceries into her trunk. “I’m so happy, thank you so, so much!” The woman drove away with a smile on her face in front of a line of several cars, as the volunteers with the Friendship Baptist Church food pantry ministry continued loading cars with several days’ worth of groceries. The distribution is just one part of the ministry’s activities, as they welcome anyone in need of food and essential items—from diapers to pet food.
