KANATA, Ontario—Looking at James Topp and his crew walking on the rural roads of Kanata with full energy Wednesday, one wouldn’t guess they have already weathered a 4,000-kilometre journey by foot from Vancouver to Ottawa.
It was just another day of getting down to business and putting more miles under their belts.
And so Topp, a military veteran, current reservist, and RCMP civilian employee, pushed along country roads west of Ottawa with between 20 and 40 associates and followers in tow throughout the day.
Motorists would stop their vehicles along the road, sometimes dangerously, to give Topp a handshake or a hug….
