On a night when former U.S. men’s national team coach Gregg Berhalter was reportedly set to return, Christian Pulisic’s brace led the Americans to a heated, chaotic 3–0 win against Mexico in a semifinal of the CONCACAF Nations League on Thursday in Las Vegas.
Pulisic scored in the 37th and 46th minutes, and Ricardo Pepi made it 3–0 in the 78th.
The U.S. is 4–0–2 vs. Mexico in the past six games. The teams finished with nine players apiece. Mexico’s Cesar Montes was red-carded in the 69th minute for a tackle on Folarin Balogun, and Weston McKennie for the U.S. was sent off two minutes later during the ensuing altercation….
