The impact of the Rittenhouse issue is not the young man, the criminals he shot (killed), the riot itself, the lack of law enforcement, or any petty charge surmounted by the prosecution. It is the fact a gun was used to protect a law-abiding citizen in the exact manner for which that weapon was designed. It’s a nationwide exhibition that the Second Amendment works. Every year, thousands of individuals stop crimes or save lives with judiciously used firearms, but those proper and advantageous uses are not aired or printed.
