Tornadoes left at least 25 dead in Mississippi, with dozens more injured, officials said on March 25. An additional death was reported by local officials in Alabama the same day.
The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency announced late Saturday afternoon that the death toll had risen to 25 and that dozens of people were injured. Four people previously reported missing had been found.
In Alabama, the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office said a 67-year-old man was transported to the hospital on March 25, where he later died.
Tornadoes hit the city of Winona and inflicted damage in Silver City and Rolling Fork, all in central Mississippi, according to the National Weather Service….
