The Tasmanian government has apologised to the family of a dementia patient reportedly found with maggot-infested wounds while in state care. Deputy Premier and Mental Health Minister Jeremy Rockliff on Wednesday issued a statement describing the situation as “utterly unacceptable.” “I have spoken directly to the family and expressed how deeply sorry I am for what has happened,” he said.
