A prominent Sydney restaurant owner has vowed to keep his restaurant closed until all restrictions on unvaccinated residents are lifted. Rami Ykmour, the co-founder of the Rashays restaurant chain with 27 stores, made the announcement on social media after the New South Wales (NSW) state government revealed its complete roadmap to freedom on Sept. 28, which outlined a gradual opening of the state once different vaccination thresholds are met. Based on the National Cabinet plan, the roadmap will see one batch of “freedoms” made available to vaccinated individuals once 70 percent of the population is vaccinated (slated to be Oct. 11). Another set will be released once 80 percent is vaccinated (slated to be Oct. 25), and all restrictions will be eased at the Dec. 1 mark.
