The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has issued a recall for Simply Hot brand Thai Green Peppers after it found possible salmonella contamination.
The May 24 notice said the recalled product has been sold in Alberta and Saskatchewan and may have been distributed in other provinces and territories.
The affected green peppers are those that come in packages weighing 50 grams with a universal product code of 8 94242 00050 4. The specific batch mentioned in the recall was packed on 20AL23.
Since the posting of the recall, there have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of the product, said CFIA.
The federal agency warned the public not to “consume, serve, use, sell or distribute [the] recalled products.”…
