Michigan State University issued an urgent alert to students Monday night after two separate shootings were reported on campus.
University officials stated that shots were fired near Berkey Hall and another at IM East. Students were advised to “secure in place” and follow the “Run, Hide, Fight” protocol.
Run means evacuating away from danger if it can be done safely, hide means to secure in place, and fight means protecting yourself if no other option, according to school officials.
