ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.—“Stunning,” actress Zoe Hancock said of Shen Yun Performing Arts as it brought China’s unique traditional culture that extends over 5,000 years to Popejoy Hall in Albuquerque. “It’s not like anything you see today,” said Hancock, who attended the performance with her husband. “I love Chinese culture, so it’s wonderful to see the dancing and the storytelling.” New York-based Shen Yun’s mission is to revive traditional Chinese culture and share it with the world through the universal language of music and dance. “The water sleeves are beautiful,” Hancock said, referring to the Water Sleeves dance, which features the ladies of the Imperial Court and their flowing sleeves. “The women are truly elegant.
