NISHINOMIYA, Japan—Shen Yun Performing Arts finished all five performances at the Hyogo Performing Arts Center in Nishinomiya, Japan, and on the final evening of Jan. 9, there were two curtain calls but audiences still continued applauding.
Audience members said that they wished Shen Yun would come back to Nishinomiya every year, and already looked forward to seeing Shen Yun again.
New York-based Shen Yun is the world’s top classical Chinese dance company and has in recent years set a new bar for the art form internationally.
Amazed by the Dancers
“The male dancers are masculine, valiant, and majestic. They performed many difficult spinning, flipping, and jumping. Their dances are very expressive with even their fingertips presenting the details,” said Mr. Harano Akira, “The female dancers present elegance by using their bodies, limbs, and hands, and even the subtleties of their costumes. I kept on wondering how they can be so soft, graceful, and noble.”…
