MISSISSAUGA, Canada—At a March 27 matinee, the theater at Mississauga’s Living Arts Centre was brimming with families who were either eager to experience Shen Yun Performing Arts after learning about it or came to watch it on the recommendation of relatives. New York-based Shen Yun, the world’s premier classical Chinese dance and music company, has a mission to revive 5,000 years of Chinese heritage before its systematic dismantling under communism.
