Rep. Chris Smith (R-N.J.) said that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) forcibly harvests organs from Falun Gong practitioners while still alive, because of their excellent health, and transplants them into elderly CCP officials to extend their lives.
The Stop Forced Organ Harvesting Act of 2023 (H.R. 1154), drafted by Smith, is currently being presented to the U.S. Senate for further consideration. The bill was overwhelmingly passed in the House of Representatives on March 27 and aims to hold CCP officials accountable and impose civil or criminal penalties on those who are found to be guilty.
