A Philadelphia-area public school district has apologized after a photo of a teacher taping a mask to a student’s face went viral on social media. The image in question was first posted on Monday in Facebook group “North Penn Stronger Together.” It appears to show a teacher applying tape to a mask on the face of a student, who was seated in a classroom. The post alleged the photo shows “a Pennfield Middle School co-teacher taping a mask to a child’s face” and demanded explanation from the North Penn School District, as well as from the Democrats who were re-elected to the district’s school board in November 2021. “Pro-mask or anti-mask, I hope we can all agree that taping masks to children’s faces crosses the LINE.
