ANCHORAGE, Alaska—Unofficial polling results in Alaska’s June 11 special primary placed former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and Nick Begich, both Republicans, among the top four vote-getters in Alaska’s June 11 special primary.
As of 1 a.m. EST, Palin had garnered 33 percent of the vote, nearly double that of Begich, with 17 percent.
Nonpartisan candidate Al Gross received 15 percent. Democrat Mary Peltola completes the top four candidates with 8 percent, beating Santa Claus, 3 percent, running undeclared on a progressive socialist platform.
With votes still being counted Palin and Begich are projected to advance to the general election, while two more slots remain to be determined, according to Decision Desk HQ….
