A U.S. appeals court on Wednesday ruled that Rudy Giuliani cannot practice law in Washington D.C., a move that follows the suspension of Giuliani’s New York law license two weeks ago. The order (pdf) from the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals comes after Giuliani, who served as the personal attorney for former President Donald Trump, had his law license revoked for making what the New York Supreme Court described as “false and misleading” statements following the Nov. 3 presidential election. Giuliani is “suspended from the practice of law in the District of Columbia pending final disposition of this proceeding, effective on the date of entry of this order,” the Wednesday order states.
