This is not an uncommon scenario. Why are teeth sensitive?
We have already talked about shrinking gums and exposed root surfaces of the teeth.
These surfaces are meant to be covered by the gums, forming a tight, living, healthy barrier to any harmful agent. However, if these tissues separate from the root surface, a space develops which is now less able to tolerate temperature changes and other harmful agents.
