Russian President Vladimir Putin calls Chinese leader Xi Jinping on his birthday. But the call might be a good thing for the Chinese leader. Now people are having their suspicion confirmed: China and Russia are in it together. But I think there is a more subtle reason why Putin called Xi Jinping.
