A Proud Boys chapter leader pleaded guilty on April 8 to two charges related to the Jan. 6, 2021, breach of the U.S. Capitol. Charles Donohoe, of North Carolina, pleaded guilty to two counts: conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding and assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers. In exchange, five other counts were dropped. Donohoe, 34, now faces up to 28 years in prison, fines of up to $250,000, and a term of supervised release of up to six years. The plea was entered during a court hearing in Washington. “Mr. Donohoe regrets his actions and is remorseful for the conduct that led to these charges.
