More than 30 protesters led by British feminist Kellie-Jay Keen disrupted a Halloween pumpkin-carving contest judged by drag queens in San Francisco on Oct. 22.
California Sen. Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco) hosted the contest, which he promoted as a family event for parents and their children at Noe Valley Courts, a city park.
An outspoken LGBT activist, Wiener recently came under fire for suggesting Drag Queen Story Time should be part of the state’s K–12 school curriculum, as well as his lead legislative role in making California a transgender sanctuary state, pushing “gender-affirming” health care, and allowing male convicts who identify as female into women’s prisons….
