The parents of alleged Michigan school shooter Ethan Crumbley appeared in court on Tuesday for a probable cause hearing in their first appearance since being charged with involuntary manslaughter. James and Jennifer Crumbley face four counts of involuntary manslaughter as accessories to their 15-year-old son’s first-degree murder case. Their attorneys said they plan to file a motion to reduce their bond, which was earlier set at $500,000 each. A preliminary hearing in their cases was set for Feb. 8. “The volume of discovery in this case is staggering,” Oakland County prosecutor Karen McDonald said Tuesday. “We anticipate being ready to present the preliminary exam in February,” she added, anticipating that between 15 and 20 witnesses may be called for the hearing.
