One of Southern California’s most popular Cuban bakeries is expected to open in Downtown Disney, taking the place of the former La Brea Bakery, which had reportedly closed all of its cafe locations last week.
Porto’s Bakery will be opening at the Anaheim location, marking its seventh restaurant, but further details on when it would be opened were not released, Disney officials announced in September at the company’s D23 Expo.

Rosa Porto, the incoming bakery’s founder, and her family opened their first storefront on Sunset Boulevard in Echo Park back in 1976. She died away in 2019, but is survived by her three children and grandchildren, who operate the locations in Burbank, Glendale, Northridge, Buena Park, West Covina, and Downey, according to the company….
