Two people died in the Polish city of Krakow after strong winds caused a construction crane to collapse. The a 20-meter-tall crane collapsed under the wind’s pressure, killing two construction workers and injuring two others. The violent winds that blew over Poland caused significant damage to housing and infrastructure, particularly in western and southern Poland. In Dobrzyca, a village in Poland’s western Wielkopolska province, a tornado damaged or tore off roofs from dozens of houses early in the morning. The metal and wooden elements of roofs were flying all over like missiles, residents said. According to residents, the tornado ravaged the street in about five minutes, then it went away. “It sounded like stones were falling from the sky”, said one of the residents. State Fire Services said fire brigades intervened over 1,400 times all over Poland, removing fallen trees and torn off roofs as well as helping those affected …
