An Indian photographer has harnessed the sublime beauty of sunsets to create a narrative photo series. Playing with scale and human silhouettes against a hazy orange sky, the artist features the sun as a tangible object for people to, seemingly, touch, move, and be moved by. Krutik Bharat Thakur, 20, a self-taught photographer, fell in love with the art after getting his first smart phone at age 16. He later borrowed a friend’s camera and built his skills using YouTube tutorials. Venturing outdoors at sunset, to the beach, just minutes from his home in Dahanu, Maharashtra, he found inspiration. “One day at the beach, I met two little kids and I made a series of photos from different angles to make it look like they were sharing the Sun,” he told My Modern Met.
