I recently got this letter from a viewer: “Dear Sam, Thank you for what you are doing to help families make the shift to home educating. Self-teaching! I never thought I would homeschool, but we started last year and will NEVER go back! Your encouragement made all the difference, and we cannot thank you enough. Signed, Julie.” What a lovely thank you note! Believe me, it means the world to me. What I am doing here is not easy, facing up against a well-loved and deeply ingrained American institution.
