The federal government says it will suspend random COVID-19 tests at airports for vaccinated travellers until the end of the month.
The development comes as airports and different industry groups had asked for the program to be ended.  Airports and airlines have expressed that they are dealing with significant congestions, leading to great wait times for travellers, due to the different COVID-19 travel mandates.
“The Government of Canada recognizes the impact that significant wait times at some Canadian airports are having on travellers. We continue to work with airports, airlines, baggage handlers, and other partners to implement solutions to reduce delays as we approach the summer peak season,” Transport Canada said in a statement on June 10….
