EUGENE, Ore.—In one performance, Shen Yun Performing Arts covers China’s 5,000 years of civilization. Although it is easy to enjoy, words are not enough to convey what is expressed.
“Each part has its own message: not just one message but a lot of little messages that all come together. That’s what makes it really neat. It’s hard to describe,” said Cecelia Cook, a nurse manager.
“We would just say you’d have to come and experience it for yourself. It’s beautiful and it’s worth coming to.”
Shen Yun is based in New York and using classical Chinese dance, the artists are able to portray the beauty of “China before communism.”…
