OC Animal Care, one of Orange County’s largest municipal animal shelters, is continuing to waive this month’s adoption fees for dogs 25 pounds and over to incentivize adoptions.
Since the shelter started such a promotion in December, adoptions for large dogs have doubled compared to the same time last year.
According to the shelter, 92 dogs of that size were adopted last month compared to 45 in December 2021.
