An Orange County man was arrested Jan. 28 for allegedly trespassing on Capitol grounds earlier this month during the electoral college vote count. Mark Simon, 49, of Huntington Beach, was arrested by the FBI on federal charges of trespassing and participating in unlawful activities on Capitol grounds. He was at the Capitol Jan. 6 when thousands flocked to the nation’s capital to address their concerns about election integrity. The rally became unruly after protesters stormed the building.
