Congresswoman Michelle Steel says she’ll make alleviating California’s jammed-up highways a priority through her role on the U.S. House of Representative’s Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. Steel, who represents California’s 48th district, was among 10 new Republican members named to the committee Jan. 25. “Orange County has some of the most congested freeways in the United States and improving transportation for California families should matter to all of us,” Steel said in a press release. “This includes reducing noise pollution in our communities. I am honored to be chosen as the newest member of this important, bipartisan committee.
