The Orange County Board of Education has filed a second lawsuit demanding California Gov. Gavin Newsom end California’s COVID-19 state of emergency. The petition was filed on Nov. 23, four months after a first lawsuit against the governor’s continued state of emergency failed in August. As the board enters into this second round, they said they are optimistic this one will be seen through. “I think if the courts are listening to the will of the people that they’ll hear the case, and I think it’s really hard to document that we are in a state of emergency,” school board President Mari Barke told The Epoch Times.
