Ontario Premier Doug Ford announced Wednesday the province’s largest single hospital infrastructure investment to build and renovate the Trillium Health Partners’ hospitals and health centres. Speaking at a press conference, the premier announced the multi-billion-dollar project to build a new Mississauga Hospital and expand the Queensway Health Centre, which are both part of Trillium Health Partners. “It’s a plan that will protect our progress in our fight against COVID-19, but also looks beyond, to the Ontario we want to build in the future for our kids and our grandkids,” Ford said. “It’s a plan that will bring investment and spur economic growth.
