GREELEY, Colo.—Watching Shen Yun Performing Arts one can almost “feel the waves of energy coming at you,” said personal coach and author Gordon Hamby after seeing the performance in Greeley on Jan. 22. “It’s almost like a visible thing you can see,” Mr. Hamby said. He described the energy coming from the stage as a bright light that engages, centers, and focuses the viewer. “The whole picture: you got the contemporary, the ancient, the nature, the heavens, it’s really quite a composite of a lot of different things,” he said. Shen Yun, based in New York, has been presenting 5,000 years of China’s traditional, divinely inspired culture to audiences since 2006. It has performed on the world’s most prestigious stages, bringing stories of ancient times to life using classical Chinese dance.
