Ohio’s highest court becomes the latest to conclude that a business’s insurance policies do not cover income losses, even if they took place under a state-enforced lockdown by Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine.
According to the Ohio Supreme Court, a commercial insurance policy does not cover the income that a business lost when the governor ordered a statewide shutdown early in the COVID-19 pandemic.
