An Ohio woman and Virginia-based man have reunited 33 years after she gave him up for adoption as a newborn baby, through a DNA test that they both took. Greg Vossler, 33, traveled 300 miles from Winchester to Wadsworth to visit his birth mother, Melanie Pressley, in June 2021. Melanie, 53, hadn’t seen her son since the day he was born. Yet, he never left her thoughts through all these years. Born and raised in Canton, Ohio, Melanie fell pregnant at the age of 19 in 1987. She took a test at work to hide the evidence from her parents. Terrified by the results, she met and informed her then-boyfriend, who wanted an abortion.
