A murder suspect died of an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound in Oceanside on June 23 following a multi-county pursuit and exchange of gunfire with law enforcement personnel.
The events that led to the 28-year-old man’s death began around 11:55 p.m. On June 22, when 911 callers reported a domestic dispute and gunshots at a home in the 500 block of Fredricks Avenue in Oceanside, according to the San Diego Police Department (SDPD)—which investigates law enforcement shootings in the city to the north under terms of a regional agreement.
Patrol officers arrived at the residence to find the body of a 34-year-old woman, and detectives soon concluded that she had been shot to death by a man she was dating, SDPD Lt. Jud Campbell said….
