The Orange County Animal Shelter is holding its first annual Animal Adoption Day will be held on Sept. 10 in Tustin, kicking off a month-long where the first 200 furry friends will be taken home with the adoption fee waived. Both dogs and cats are available for adoption.
Orange County Supervisor Katrina Foley partnered with OC Animal Care to waive the adoption fee for the overcrowded shelter.
“This shelter has capacity for about 200 dogs and 300 cats, but currently houses more than double its max capacity of animals,” Foley said in a statement. “By hosting Animal Adoption Day, we hope to encourage the public to adopt, foster, or volunteer was our county shelters to support our region’s homeless pets.”…
