New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said the state’s Governor Andrew Cuomo should resign from his post if an independent investigation confirms some of the recent allegations made against him, including the nursing home scandal and sexual harassment claims. The state’s Attorney General Letitia James confirmed in a statement on March 1 that they are moving forward with an “independent investigation into allegations of sexual harassment claims,” that were made against the embattled governor. The findings of the review will be disclosed in a public report.
