A North Carolina school board has adopt a policy that would discipline or dismiss teachers if they incorporate critical race theory (CRT) into their teaching of the history of the United States. The Johnston County school board on Friday unanimously voted to approve an amended code of ethics policy after the county’s Republican-run board of commissioners said it would withhold $7.9 million in school funding until the policy is passed, reported The News & Observer of Raleigh.
