New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s office has released what it says is a full transcript of his secretary Melissa DeRosa and other aides speaking last week with state legislators. The transcript confirms as accurate a New York Post report that included a snippet from the call. DeRosa appeared to tell legislators that the Cuomo administration withheld how many nursing home residents died from COVID-19 because they feared the numbers would “be used against us.” The transcript shows state Sen. James Skoufis, a Democrat, alleging Cuomo’s administration was disregarding state lawmakers.
