Around a million people in NSW aged between 40 and 49 could get a Pfizer COVID-19 jab at the new purpose-built vaccination hub at Sydney Olympic Park within weeks. Premier Gladys Berejiklian announced the “exciting” development at the opening of the government-run Homebush hub on Monday. “People aged 40 to 49 can register their interest in getting that Pfizer injection from 5 p.m. today at nsw.gov.au,” she said. About a million people are in that age group, among the six million adults in NSW, she said. For the first two weeks, the vaccination hub will be open to people in categories 1a and 1b – emergency and aged care workers, frontline workers and their families.
