North Carolina officials have no authority to block the reelection bid of U.S. Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-N.C.) on Fourteenth Amendment grounds over his actions in the run-up to the Jan. 6, 2021, breach of the U.S. Capitol building, his lawyer told The Epoch Times in an interview.
