Monongahela, Pa.—Surrounded by Republican House leaders and representatives, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) unveiled the party’s “Commitment to America” plan on Sept. 22 in front of an enthusiastic crowd at a manufacturing plant south of Pittsburgh.
The platform was developed with input from Republicans nationwide, reflecting a mission to provide guidance from House members at the local levels all the way to the most prominent GOP leaders, multiple representatives at the event said.
Representing the culmination of a year of work, the “Commitment to America” follows the plan of former Republican House Speaker Newt Gingrich’s “Contract With America” which helped the GOP win majority in the 1990s….
