VAN NUYS, Calif.—A man and a woman were arrested April 16 in the attempted murder of a man in Van Nuys on Friday.
An employee of a business in the 15200 block of Vanowen Street found the victim lying on the sidewalk in front of his business around 8:20 a.m. suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest, according to Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).
The victim was taken to a hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery and was in stable condition, police said. The shooting happened several hours before the victim was found.
Detectives recovered a video recording that captured part of the shooting as well as the suspects who shot the man, the LAPD reported. On April 15, just after 6 p.m., patrol officers were conducting an unrelated investigation in the area of Harland Street and Kester Avenue when they saw two people who fit the descriptions of the shooting suspects….
