SANTA ANA, Calif.—A 20-year-old Irvine man appeared in court Aug. 8 on two murder charges in connection with a drug-fueled fiery crash that killed a couple in Irvine.
Jack Frederick Varga Nagl was charged Aug. 3 with two counts of second-degree murder and one count of possession of a deadly weapon—metal knuckles, all felonies, as well as three counts of battery and one count each of vandalism and damaging a wireless device to prevent calling the police, all misdemeanors, according to court records.
Nagl faces a sentencing enhancement for committing an offense while released from custody.
He is accused of killing 62-year-old Kamiar Ashraf and his 57-year-old wife Roxanne Ashraf, both of Irvine, on July 17, according to Orange County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Scott Steinle….
