A man was arrested on Saturday morning after a stabbing incident on Friday evening left one dead and one seriously injured, Metropolitan police said. The unidentified man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder and has been taken into custody at a London police station. A man believed to be in his 20s, whom police and paramedic found with stab injuries, died at the scene in Brentford, a suburban town in West London, at around 8 p.m. on Friday. An 84-year-old woman who suffered serious stab injuries was taken to the hospital, police said her injuries were not deemed life-threatening. The police did not identify the person arrested, as is standard practice in the UK. Suspects of crimes are usually named after they are charged.
