David DePape, the man who allegedly assaulted Paul Pelosi, was on a “suicide mission” and had plans to target other California and federal politicians, according to a court document filed by San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins on Nov. 1.
DePape, 42, appeared briefly in San Francisco Superior Court on Tuesday and pleaded not guilty to attempted murder of Paul Pelosi and other charges. It was his first public appearance since the hammer attack against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-Calif.) husband last Friday.
He was ordered held without bail. The next court hearing is scheduled for Nov. 4.
Jenkins filed the document to keep DePape in jail, writing: “This case demands detention. Nothing less.”…
